Chronicled Memories

Love those who love you unconditionally, even on the those days you can't love yourself at all…

Pillow

As your pillow I'll never care
When you snuggle me against your ear
When you bury your head and drown me
In the puddles from flowing tears

I'll never make a fuss
When you whimper and cry
I'll only be there to soften
And to make your perfect eyes dry

I'll muffle all your screams,
Your shouts and pent emotions
You can even throw and cast me;
It won't ever change my devotion.

I'll be there when you need me
When you trust me to rest your head
I'll do my best to drift away your worries,
As we lay upon your bed.

Caressing your face with a snuggle;
I'll be perfectly shaped and formed
Dabbing away your concerns
till we wake on tomorrow's morn'.

You may throw me under the covers
or leave me half way off the bed
I'll wait for you forever;
when you need to rest your head.

I love it when you wash me!
I smell so fresh and anew.
I can't wait for you to come to bed,
So I can stick to you like glue!

I've been with you through everything;
through the bad and the naughty,
Through the laughter and pillow fights,
and that hairy little doggy.

Even when you have uncertainty,
when your doubts have amounted
I will always be there for you.
I will be there when its counted.

I'm not really picky.
I will wear whatever you think
but you are a girly girl,
so it's probably gonna be pink!

My color doesn't define me;
whether in sheik satin or a hue
I would always look ravishing;
as long as I'm with you.

I am blessed to be your pillow.
To be witness to all your dreams.
You are so much more than just a pretty face.
You are much more than what you seem.

I will never tell your secrets
I'll be there when you need me the most
I'll be there when you're reading
Or when you think you heard a ghost!

I'll be there through thick and thin
Through friends, heartache and pain
I'll be there through all the seasons
In the Spring, Summer, Winter and rain

I know I'm getting older
Possibly flimsy and maybe a hassle.
But at least I'm not the couch pillow
With its annoying little tassels

I don't know how to end this
I don't know what to say.
But to tell you that I love you
Each and every single day.

  1. Did you write this ?
    I liked this poem it showed depth and emotion
    Makes you go back to those times where you cried , screamed , punched and smiled and held your pillow for comfort.
    A pilllow is a necessity.
